Yellow is genuinely one of the most underused colours in a casual wardrobe and we think that is a real shame. A yellow hoodie does something that a grey or black one simply cannot. It lifts your face, it reads as intentional rather than just comfortable, and it brings actual warmth to an outfit even when the weather is not cooperating. The trick is finding the right yellow. Too sharp and it feels like a hi-vis vest. Too washed out and it loses all its energy. We have been looking specifically for the ones that sit in that sweet spot, the shades that feel genuinely wearable rather than brave. Butter yellow, marigold, soft ochre. All of them earn their place differently. We have also been strict about fit and fabric because a hoodie that bags in the wrong places or pills after three washes is not worth anyone’s time regardless of the colour. These are the yellow hoodies we would actually reach for on a slow Saturday morning or layer under a coat without thinking twice. The colour should feel like a good decision, not a performance.
