Winter Pleated Skirts Worth a Spot in the Rotation
Pleated skirts do not get enough credit in winter dressing and we think that is genuinely worth arguing against. The pleat gives movement without volume, structure without stiffness, and in heavier winter fabrics like wool, satin, or velvet it becomes something properly considered rather than an afterthought. The problem with most winter skirt edits is that they lean almost entirely on leather and knit. Both fine, but neither gives you that particular silhouette that a pleated midi or maxi creates. It is a different kind of elegance. One that works as well with a chunky knit tucked in as it does with a fitted blazer. We have been pulling together pleated skirts that genuinely earn their place in a cold weather wardrobe rather than skirts that happen to come in darker colours and get relabelled seasonal. The length matters. The fabric matters. The weight of the pleat matters. These are the ones we would actually wear on repeat from October through to March without once feeling like we had compromised on warmth or style. A pleated skirt done properly is a winter wardrobe argument settled.
