The pleats hold their structure when the cotton has enough weight behind it. What we look for is a cut that works for both a long lunch and an actual errand, not a dress that needs an occasion to justify itself. These are not precious pieces. They are the ones you reach for constantly because they are comfortable, they look considered without being fussy, and they genuinely improve with time.
